Amravati.........traditionally known as "UMRAVATI", "AMBAPURI".......It has a long history of its own as old Amba mata temple, Old Jawahar gate and the wall behind it. Mythological it is known for Lord Shree Krishna and Rukhmini's love story.
But guys beside that we have very good locations to roam around within the city or outside city.
Inside city:
1. we can go for "wadali Lake and garden" as first place to picnic with our family as it comes easily thro' our words if any body ask suggestions. As it is very old lake and some zoo kind of garden. For tiffin party it is much acclaimed place.
2. Naturally the second spot is bagged by "chatri lake and garden". It is renewed and looks much better than earlier. People near Dasturnagar, Yeshodanagar, Shankar Nagar always used to come here for morning walk and for some physical exercise.
3. Camp road, Rajkamal Square, Rajapeth, Irvin square are the most refreshing places for the teenagers as we can do killing time sort of things out here.
4. Other gardens are also developed as for eg. new one is at Prashant Nagar. Which has state of art gardening inside it.
Outside city.
1. Any guesses..........yeahhh rite!!! "Chikhaldara"............you may find very rare people in amravati who don't know chikhaladara, dharani . A chilled place covering major part of Satpuda Hills. Many points are here to watch and enjoy. N don't forget to watch museums around chikhaladara.
2. Muktagiri is another cool place.
3. Salbardi and river beside it........ A night stay with wood fire and friends dancing around it....wow...... nothing would be better than this on friendship day.
4. Your buddies can enjoy a safari at Jungles of Pohara, Dharani, Melghat etc and sometimes u can make friends there like tigers, leopards.
